Member
Michael G. Dreznes served as the Executive Vice-President of the International Road Federation (IRF) from February 2012 until his retirement in December 2020.
Prior to accepting his position at IRF, Dreznes was Vice-President of Barrier Systems Inc. for four years. Dreznes served as the Deputy Director General of the Washington Program Center of the International Road Federation (IRF) from July 2006 to February 2008. He worked as Vice- President at Quixote Corporation (Energy Absorption Systems, Inc.) for twenty years starting in 1986, when he was hired to create an international department for Quixote Corporation.
Dreznes has spent the last thirty-seven years working to make the roads safe around the world. He is recognized as one of the world’s leading specialists on roadside safety promoting the concept of “Forgiving Roads,” and has conducted multiple road safety training seminars on roadside safety, work zone safety, vulnerable user safety and road safety audit in more than seventy countries around the world.
Dreznes served as the Co-Chairman of the United Nations Road Safety Collaboration (UNRSC) Decade of Action Pillar 2: Safer Roads and Mobility Project Group. . He served as the Co-Chairman of the Transportation Research Board (TRB) AFB20 (2) Roadside Safety Sub-Committee on International Research Activities from 2000 to 2019. He is a member of the PIARC Road Safety Technical Committee 3.2 Design and Operation of Safer Road Infrastructure, a member of TASK FORCE 13 Committee on Work Zone Safety, Staff Advisor to the IRF Road Safety Working Group as well as Immediate Past Chairman of the IRF Fellowship Educational Foundation (IREF).
In January 2015, Dreznes was named the winner of the TRB AFB20 Roadside Safety Design Kenneth Stonex Lifetime Achievement Award. In September 2020, the Puerto Rico Local Technical Assistance Program (LTAP) named Dreznes the recipient of the 2020 Road Safety International Ambassador Award In 2021, ASIRT (Association for Safe International Road Travel) honored Dreznes with their Leadership in Road Safety Technology and Education Award.

Member
Steven Poss has been engaged in the transportation safety industry for over 3 decades. Currently he is Global Business Development Director with 3M Company Transportation Safety Division, based at 3M Global Headquarters in St. Paul, Minnesota. Prior to this, Steve has held multiple positions related to transportation safety at 3M including business development, marketing operations and product development. While educated as an engineer, Steve continues to support local 3M teams around the world to advance transportation safety regulations and specifications. Steve collaborates with multiple NGOs in the industry as well. He has extensive international experience having worked at 3M’s European Headquarters and additionally managing 3M Asia Pacific and Latin American businesses. Steve holds Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees of Science from the University of Minnesota in Chemical Engineering and Polymer Chemistry respectively.

Mrs. Alicea’s over 19 years of experience is concentrated in the areas of project management, transportation planning, and highway engineering. Since 2021, she has been the special aide of the Puerto Rico Secretary of the Department of Transportation and Public Works (DTOP, in Spanish), assigned to the operational and technical support of the agency. Her main assignment during this period, aside to be the technical support leader for the Secretary, has been to manage the main highway maintenance and pavement rehabilitation program of the Departament. Previous to this position, Lynnette Alicea was recognized for serving the PRHTA in the development and implementation of the Puerto Rico Strategic Highway Safety Plans 2014-2018 and 2019-2023. Her roles in this project included project coordination, documet control, project schedule, statistical analysis of safety trends, highway safety assessments, work zone safety analysis and policy reviews, Road Safety Audits, support safety stakeholders, among others. The leadership and technical work performed by her resulted in a historical global safety award for Puerto Rico: Find A Way, presented in Dubai in 2021. This award is given to countries that goes above and beyond to improve safety.
